I've been through a lot in my past, bad and good memories they may say, especially when I'm behind the wheel of my "Ice", but who knew I would grow as this person I myself is afraid of losing to? --Iceman--

CHAPTER III - FRIENDSHIP

WHAT is FRIENDSHIP?

Just like love, friendship is not something that can always be described easily, though my bestfriend Caezar and I always use the saying 'no man is an island' just to fill-up the definition of the word. Well... to be honest I don't get the sense of our definition, but that time, it was an OK way to stay away from questions like "how did you two became friends?". So, we just kept on saying it.

Friendship may be viewed in two context; first, friendship as a need and secondly as a want where normally the latter has greater bearing of the two. A great example of friendship as a need is myself. Yes I admit, I do have people i call friend's just for the sake of getting along with, but just a few of them I considered real friends (yes Christine, you're one of them) which I know I may depend on no matter what, for good or for worse, I know they'll stand by me. In friendship as a want on the other hand is something that's built up by an urge for a sense of belongingness. People like this often gets lack of attention from their own family or is a loner on the place they are currently on, that they tend to pretend to be someone just for the sake of winning attention of people around them and gain friends through that. What these people don't normally understand is that, the friends they gain are for a short term basis relationship because normally these so-called friends they gain will go for whoever is on the top

Though the feeling's there, your attachment to that certain friend, it can't truly be explained how and when did that bond happened. As my bestfriend and I always say, "no man is an island". Friendship, companion,

HOW to CHOOSE a REAL FRIEND?

A lot of people say, you don't get to choose your family, but you do get to choose your friends. Now the basic question that you might probably ask me is, 'how do you choose a friend?', especially a real one.

I've seen a lot of friendships evolve around me as i grew up, some of them blossom into something unbelievable, some ended up as enemies due to some complications and misunderstandings, which is of course very common in any type of relationships. The conventional knowledge we have is that we normally choose our friends because of who they are, but it turns out, maybe unaware of the fact that we really chose them because of the way they understand and support who we are and what we do.
